Bolté papers include 15 letters from Colonel Bolté to his parents, General and Mrs. Charles Bolté, January 18-October 6, 1968, describing his service as Senior American Advisor in Quang Tin Province, Republic of Vietnam, his correspondence primarily concerns his work with the military assistance but also refers to the major allied tactical units in that area, the U.S. 23rd Infantry Division and South Vietnamese 2nd Division. One letter forwards a copy of his report on the pacification effort in his province during April, 1968. The remaining piece is an official message from a Vietnamese officer.
